Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). As a young girl of just five, she moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled in an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma was aspired to become a professional actor from the age of at the age of six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute with part-time courses. As part of a school production and a Stagecoach Production, Emma was as the lead role at age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was first cast in 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. After eight consistent auditions the producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast to play the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance in a film was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings as well as being the most-grossing feature in 2001. Critics praised the film and its performances by the three young stars. The widely distributed British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance admirable. Emma was later awarded five prizes for her performance in the movie.
